Download the Florida PDF (207 pages, 1,056 questions)
Answer key with explanations and statute citations included - print it or read it on your phone. These are original practice questions written against the published exam content outline; they are not actual exam questions, and the file is not a substitute for the official candidate handbook.
This is a free, printable PDF of 1,056 original practice questions for the Florida life, health and property and casualty licensing exams. It opens with the 60 Florida-law questions behind this site's Florida mock exams - 19 life, 19 health and 22 property and casualty, each citing the Florida Statutes section it is drawn from - and then the full national bank for each line (996 questions), with the correct answer and a plain-English explanation for every one. It covers the part of the Florida exam that national study guides skip - the "Florida statutes, rules and regulations" sections of the Pearson VUE content outline - without making you download a second file for the rest. No registration, no email. Last updated September 2026.

The file opens with a cover page carrying the exam facts below, then the questions grouped by line (life, health, property and casualty), then an answer key with the correct letter, the explanation and the citation for every question. The Florida-law section comes first so you can drill it on its own; the national questions follow, grouped by line, so the one file covers the whole exam.

Prelicensing: the handbook states that some license categories require pre-licensing education, with course hours set by Florida statute per license type. We could not verify the official hour counts when we checked (the Department of Financial Services and flsenate.gov sites were unreachable), so confirm the hours for your license with the Florida Department of Financial Services before booking a course.
Verified July 2026 from the Florida Insurance Examination Content Outlines effective Jan 1, 2026 (#121003) and the Candidate Handbook 08/2024 (#121000) - read the official outlines and handbook at Pearson VUE; the 2-15 row was verified September 2026 from the same document. If a number here disagrees with the current handbook, the handbook wins.

Sample Florida questions with answers
Three questions copied from the file, one per line, exactly as they appear in the answer key.
Question 1 (Life). A Florida life policy has covered a 70-year-old insured for several years, and she designated her son as secondary addressee. Before the policy may lapse for nonpayment, the insurer must mail notice of the impending lapse to her and her son at least how many days in advance?
- A. 10 days
- B. 14 days
- C. 21 days
- D. 45 days
Answer: C. 21 days. For a life policy that has been in force at least one year covering an insured age 64 or older, the policy may not lapse for nonpayment unless the insurer mails notice of the impending lapse to the policyowner and the designated secondary addressee at least 21 days before the effective date of lapse. See Fla. Stat. § 627.4555.
Question 2 (Health). Florida's own dependent-coverage statute requires a policy insuring dependent children to cover a child who is dependent on the policyholder and either lives in the household or is a student, at least until the end of the calendar year in which the child reaches what age?
- A. Age 21
- B. Age 19
- C. Age 25
- D. Age 26
Answer: C. Age 25. Section 627.6562's own wording sets age 25 for a child who is dependent on the policyholder AND either lives in the policyholder's household or is a full-time or part-time student. Know the distinction: federal law is broader - the Affordable Care Act separately requires most plans to cover adult children until age 26 regardless of residence, student status, or dependency - and Florida additionally requires insurers to OFFER coverage to age 30. See Fla. Stat. § 627.6562.
Question 3 (Property and casualty). A hurricane makes landfall in Florida and damages an insured home. Under Florida's notice-of-claim statute, the homeowner's initial claim and any later supplemental claim must be reported to the insurer within what periods after the date of loss?
- A. Initial claim within 1 year; supplemental claim within 18 months
- B. Initial claim within 2 years; supplemental claim within 3 years
- C. Initial claim within 3 years; supplemental claim within 3 years
- D. Initial claim within 60 days; supplemental claim within 1 year
Answer: A. Initial claim within 1 year; supplemental claim within 18 months. A claim or reopened claim is barred unless notice is given to the insurer within 1 year after the date of loss, and a supplemental claim (additional loss from the same peril the insurer previously adjusted) is barred unless notice is given within 18 months after the date of loss. For a hurricane the date of loss is the date of landfall. The 2-year/3-year periods were prior versions of the law, and 60 days is not a statutory notice period. See Fla. Stat. § 627.70132.
Rules that changed recently
Two property and casualty questions test rules that older Florida study material still gets wrong. Both were reviewed on September 28, 2026:
- Assignment of post-loss benefits. For property policies issued on or after January 1, 2023, a policyholder may not assign any post-loss insurance benefit; an attempted assignment is void, invalid and unenforceable. The 14-day rescission right and contractor notice rules in older guides applied to assignment agreements under earlier policies - Fla. Stat. § 627.7152(13).
- Notice of a property claim. An initial claim must be reported within 1 year of the date of loss and a supplemental claim within 18 months; the 2-year and 3-year windows in older material were prior versions of the statute. For a hurricane, the date of loss is the date of landfall - Fla. Stat. § 627.70132.
The answer key states each rule as it read when the question was reviewed. If a cited section is amended, the question is rewritten and the PDF regenerated, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page moves.
How to study with this PDF
- Print the section for your line and answer it cold - 19 questions for life, 19 for health, 22 for property and casualty - marking each answer before you open the key.
- For every miss, read the explanation and note the section. Florida's numbers are the trap: 14 days for a life free-look but 21 for an annuity, 120 days notice for residential nonrenewal but 10 for nonpayment. The exam tests the number, not the concept.
- Take the timed Florida mock exam for your line: life, health or property and casualty. Each runs to the real exam's length and time limit, mixes the Florida-law questions into the national bank the way the real exam does, and explains every answer.
- Then work the national PDF for your line (linked below). The national sections are most of the exam; the Florida sections are the part a generic guide cannot teach.
- 2-15 candidates: do both the life and health sections here, then read the Florida 2-15 exam guide for how the 150-question combined exam is weighted.

Frequently asked questions
Are these the real Florida insurance exam questions?
No. They are 60 original practice questions written against the Florida sections of the Pearson VUE content outline, each citing the Florida Statutes section it tests. No study material contains actual exam questions; anything claiming to is fake or stolen.
Does the PDF include the Florida law section of the exam?
Both. The Florida-law section - 19 life, 19 health and 22 property and casualty questions on Chapters 626, 627, 631, 440 and 215 of the Florida Statutes - comes first, followed by the 996 national questions for the three lines, so you do not need a second file.
Is it enough for the Florida 2-15 exam?
The life and health sections together cover the two Florida-law parts of the 2-15 outline, but the 2-15 exam has 150 scored questions and most of them are national life, health and annuity material. Use this file for the Florida sections and the national life and health PDFs for the rest.
How current is it?
The exam facts were verified in July 2026 from the Florida content outlines effective January 1, 2026 and the candidate handbook; the newest questions were reviewed on September 28, 2026 and include the assignment-of-benefits prohibition and the current one-year notice-of-claim rule. The date at the top of the page moves whenever the file is regenerated.
Can I print it or share it?
Yes. It is a 207-page text PDF with the questions first and the answer key last, so you can print the questions without the answers. Share it in its original form; please do not strip the source line or sell it.
Do I need to sign up to download it?
No. There is no registration, email or payment. Click the download button and the file opens in your browser.
