How the Ohio Life Insurance exam compares

The Ohio Life exam is 100 questions, 120 minutes, a 70% cut score. The examination fee is $49.

Ohio requires 20 hours of prelicensing education before you can take the exam.

Because a large share of the real exam is Ohio law, this practice bank includes 12 questions written specifically on Ohio statutes and regulations, each citing the provision it comes from.

Taking the Ohio Life and Health insurance exam together?

Ohio licenses Life and Accident & Health as separate major lines, but the Ohio Department of Insurance also offers a single combined sitting: the Ohio Life, Accident and Health Insurance Agent exam (Series 11-35), administered by PSI - 150 questions in 2.5 hours with a 70% minimum passing score, the same passing bar as the standalone exams.

The combined route requires prelicensing for both lines (20 hours per major line, 40 total) and you must bring both course completion certificates on test day. If that is your plan, practice both halves here: this page covers the life half, and the health bank covers medical expense, disability income, Medicare, and group health.
